Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), former President Trump’s running mate, is campaigning Thursday evening in Michigan.
Vance is expected to give remarks on the auto industry, electric vehicles, manufacturing and jobs during his visit to the Great Lakes State, according to a campaign announcement.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls shows the former president and Vice President Harris nearly tied in the “blue wall” state. President Biden won Michigan in 2020 with a 2.8 point margin of victory, after Trump narrowly carried the state in 2016 by 0.2 percentage points.
The rally in Waterford, Mich., is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. EDT.
Vance will also participate in a town hall hosted by NewsNation that will air Thursday evening.
