President Biden is set to deliver comments Friday morning on the unexpectedly strong September jobs report released by the Labor Department.
Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showed a spike of 336,000 jobs added last month, virtually double the predicted figure. BLS also revised figures for July and August to show greater gains of 40,000 and 179,000 jobs, respectively. The unemployment rate, meanwhile, was largely unchanged in September.
