Trump and Joe Rogan sit for three hour interview

Former President Trump sat Friday for an interview with podcast host Joe Rogan, with the two talking for nearly three hours.

The episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” was posted late Friday to YouTube and Spotify after the two men sat down at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas. The discussion ran so long that Trump’s scheduled rally in Traverse City, Mich., was significantly delayed.

The YouTube video of the interview quickly amassed hundreds of thousands of views. Rogan dispelled claims from some on social media that the episode had been censored.

“There is no issue with YouTube censoring the trump episode. It was just supposed to go live on both Spotify and YouTube at the same time and there was a glitch in Spotify’s upload system and so we delisted the YouTube link until it’s fixed. It should be fine now,” Rogan posted on X.

Rogan is one of the most popular and controversial media personalities in the country, with each of his episodes earning millions of downloads and often features conversations with top newsmakers. He is particularly popular with young men, who the Trump campaign has specifically targeted.

The podcaster has never hosted Trump on his show, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” and has drawn criticism in recent years over commentary on public health and other controversial issues.

Rogan has previously said he is not a Trump supporter and in 2022 indicated he would not be interested in having the former president on the show. But Trump and Vice President Harris, the Democratic nominee, have been making the rounds on popular podcasts in an effort to reach as many voters as possible.
