Stellantis is pulling out of CES 2024 as “part of the contingency plan implemented since the beginning of [the] UAW strike.” This means the company is cancelling its display and presentations at the tech-focused event in Las Vegas.
The automaker didn’t say much about the move, but noted they’re focusing on “business fundamentals in the wake of ongoing UAW negotiations.” The company added they’re “executing comprehensive countermeasures to mitigate financial impacts” of the strike to “preserve capital.”
While Stellantis won’t be at CES next year, they said they’ll demonstrate their transformation into a “mobility tech company” through other means. This suggests we can expect a more affordable and low-key debut in the future.

It’s not immediately clear what Stellantis planned to show at CES, but the automaker was originally slated to have a display alongside BMW, Honda, Hyundai, and Mercedes. That being said, the automaker normally makes technology and EV-focused announcements at the show and has previously used the event to unveil the Peugeot Inception and Ram 1500 Revolution concepts. The company also used last year’s show to announce the expansion of their Free2move service, which offers car-sharing, rental, and subscription services through dealerships.
The decision to dropout of CES is interesting as the union hasn’t hit Stellantis as hard as Ford or General Motors. That being said, the UAW is striking at parts distribution facilities as well as the Toledo Assembly Complex, which builds the Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler.
