NBC News announced Monday it will host the third GOP presidential primary debate in Miami on Nov. 8, giving candidates another opportunity to set themselves apart and make a dent in former President Trump’s considerable lead ahead of the Iowa caucuses in January.

The debate will take place at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County from 8 to 10 p.m. EST, NBC News said.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) selected Salem Radio Network and the Republican Jewish Coalition as debate partners, while Rumble will stream the debate live.

“The partners for our third debate will offer our candidates an excellent opportunity to meet the moment and contrast their plans and vision with the failures of the Biden White House,” said RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.

The RNC raised the threshold for 2024 GOP candidates to participate in the third debate.

Republican candidates will have to show two national polls that have them at 4 percent or higher, or they will need to garner 4 percent support in one national poll and two different early state polls.

Candidates are also required to meet a donor threshold of at least 70,000 unique donors, including at least 200 from 20 or more states each.

The first two debates, in Milwaukee and Simi Valley, Calif., were hosted by Fox News. Trump notably did not attend either debate, citing his strong lead in the polls. He is reported to be skipping the third debate as well.

Trump has maintained his spot as the frontrunner by a wide margin, with recent polling showing the former president with 61 percent of primary support. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is trailing behind with 12 percent, while the other candidates have all garnered less than 10 percent each.
