More than 3 million viewers watched a CNN town hall featuring Vice President Harris on Wednesday evening.
The forum, held in the swing state of Pennsylvania and moderated by CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, delivered 3.2 million viewers, including more than 700,00 in the advertiser-coveted 25- to 54-year-old age demographic, the network reported, citing earlier figures from Nielsen Media Research.
That figure is less than half the more than 7 million viewer who tuned in to watch a one-on-one interview Harris granted to Fox News last week but is more than three times the audience CNN’s slate of prime-time programming typically nets in a single hour.
Wednesday night’s town hall was part of a wider media blitz Harris has been on in the final days of the campaign, including an interview with 60 Minutes, and stops on The View and The Breakfast Club.
During the town hall forum, Harris took questions from voters, confirmed she views former President Trump as a “fascist” and admitted she has made “many mistakes” during her time in public life.
