Let’s say you need to head to Richmond, Virginia, from Los Angeles in May 2024. An outbound flight on Breeze’s most basic fare costs $255.

The return flight costs $189, bringing the total to about $444.

However, by adding code MIXITUP at checkout, the overall price decreases to $313.52. Note: The code takes 40% off the base fare, but you’ll still have to pay the taxes and fees.

Since Breeze’s most basic booking option only allows passengers to bring a personal item, you might want to use the money you saved to purchase a carry-on bag. A carry-on bag costs $35 each way.

It also costs extra to choose seats on these flights.

Maximize your purchase

Don’t forget to use a credit card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, such as:

Chase Sapphire Preferred Card: 2 points per dollar spent on travel
American Express® Gold Card: 3 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly through the airline or American Express Travel
The Platinum Card® from American Express: 5 points per dollar spent on airfare when booked directly through the airline or American Express Travel (on up to $500,000 of these purchases per calendar year)
Citi Premier® Card (see rates and fees): 3 points per dollar spent on airfare
Chase Sapphire Reserve: 3 points per dollar spent on airfare

Bottom line

This is a great deal because it allows for so much flexibility. If you have been looking at flights for a trip this year or next and Breeze services your chosen destination, this deal can make your vacation much more affordable. Just keep in mind the promotion only applies to the base fare.
