Minnesota college staff call for president's resignation over Muhammad drawing debacle

Faculty leaders at a Minnesota college that dismissed an art history instructor who showed depictions of the Prophet Muhammad in a course have overwhelmingly called for the university president to resign.

Faculty leaders at Hamline University said 71 of 92 members who attended a meeting Tuesday voted to call on President Fayneese Miller to resign immediately. They say they lost faith in Miller because of her handling of a Muslim student’s objection who said seeing the artwork violated her religious beliefs.

The adjunct instructor who showed the artwork, Erika López Prater, sued the private liberal arts school last week after it declined to renew her contract.

ORGANIZATION CALLS FOR HAMLINE UNIVERSITY TO LOSE ACCREDITATION AFTER PROFESSOR FIRED FOR MUHAMMAD PICTURE

“It became clear that the harm that’s been done and the repair that has to be done, that new leadership is needed to move that forward,” Jim Scheibel, president of the Hamline University Faculty Council, told the Star Tribune of Minneapolis.

The faculty objected to what they considered a violation of academic freedom.

“We are distressed that members of the administration have mishandled this issue and great harm has been done to the reputation of Minnesota’s oldest university,” the Faculty Council statement read. It later went on to say, “As we no longer have faith in President Miller’s ability to lead the university forward, we call upon her to immediately tender her resignation to the Hamline University Board of Trustees.”

After criticism from across the country, Miller conceded last week that she mishandled the episode, which sparked a debate over balancing academic freedom with respect for religion.

“Like all organizations, sometimes we misstep,” she said in a joint statement with the chair of the school’s trustees. “In the interest of hearing from and supporting our Muslim students, language was used that does not reflect our sentiments on academic freedom. Based on all that we have learned, we have determined that our usage of the term ‘Islamophobic’ was therefore flawed.”

A Hamline spokesman told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that Miller and her team were discussing how to respond to the faculty vote.

HAMLINE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR FIRED FOR SHOWING IMAGES OF MUHAMMAD HAD WARNED STUDENTS IN SYLLABUS

López Prater showed centuries-old artwork depicting the Prophet Muhammad in an October lesson on Islamic art. López Prater said she knew that visual depictions of him violate many Muslims’ faith, so she warned the class ahead of time.

The instructor alleged in her lawsuit that Hamline subjected her to religious discrimination and defamation, and damaged her professional and personal reputation.

The American Association of University Professors, which is devoted to academic freedom, has launched an inquiry and is planning a campus visit next month.

While leaders of some local Muslim groups have criticized López Prater, the national office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations disputed claims that her actions were Islamophobic. The group said professors who analyze images of the Prophet Muhammad for academic purposes are not the same as “Islamophobes who show such images to cause offense.”

White House says Schiff, Swalwell bring ‘expertise’ to Intel Committee after getting boot from McCarthy

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Wednesday that Democrats Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell should remain on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence after getting the boot from House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

“Representative Schiff, Representative Swalwell, and also Representative Omar are, you know, our expertise and bring a lot to the table when it comes to foreign policy and national security,” Jean-Pierre said.

“I will say that, you know, when it comes to that committee, it should not be politicized, it should be independent,” she continued. “And, again, those congressional members bring a lot of expertise to that committee. And I’ll leave it there.”

REPUBLICANS SLAM ATTEMPTED APPOINTMENTS OF SCHIFF, SWALWELL TO INTEL COMMITTEE: ‘NATIONAL SECURITY LIABILITY’

In a letter to McCarthy over the weekend, Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries asked that the two “eminently qualified legislators” be reappointed to the committee despite Swalwell’s association with a Chinese spy and Schiff’s promotion of the Steele dossier.

On Tuesday evening, McCarthy sent a letter to Jeffries stating that he was “rejecting” the appointments of Swalwell and Schiff to the Intelligence Committee.

“I appreciate the loyalty you have to your Democrat colleagues, and I acknowledge your efforts to have two Members of Congress reinstated to the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence,” wrote McCarthy. “But I cannot put partisan loyalty ahead of national security, and I cannot simply recognize years of service as the sole criteria for membership on this essential committee. Integrity matters more.”

HERE’S HOW MCCARTHY CAN BLOCK SCHIFF, OMAR, SWALWELL FROM HOUSE COMMITTEES

“As such, in order to maintain a standard worthy of this committee’s responsibilities, I am hereby rejecting the appointments of Representative Adam Schiff and Representative Eric Swalwell to serve on the Intelligence Committee,” he continued.

Swalwell responded Tuesday after McCarthy’s letter to Jeffries, calling it “rich” and “political vengeance.”

“Kevin McCarthy kicking Schiff and I off is just too rich because you know he’s going to put Marjorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosar and George Santos, who today admitted that he defrauded the Federal Elections Commission with all of his campaign finance. But he’s going to kick two of us off,” said Swalwell.

McCarthy has indicated he will not place Santos on the Intelligence Committee.

Ed Reed says Jackson State, other HBCU offered head coaching jobs amid Bethune-Cookman fallout

Hall of Famer Ed Reed voiced his displeasure with how negotiations panned out between him and the Bethune-Cookman football program.

Reed was tapped to be the Wildcats’ next head football coach on Dec. 27, but the former NFL defensive back revealed Saturday that the university decided against ratifying his contract.

But earlier this week, Reed shared that two other HBCU football programs offered him coaching jobs amid his issues with BCU.

During an appearance Monday on the “Roland Martin Unfiltered” show, Reed was asked if other HBCU programs had contacted him about head coaching opportunities. The 44-year-old responded by revealing that he declined an offer from Jackson State.

“I turned down the Jackson State job to be here, Roland,” Reed said. “Prime called me. Deion Sanders called me himself, man.”

If Reed’s statement is true, it calls into question Sanders’ and Jackson State’s public announcement that the Tigers next head coach would be T.C. Taylor. Taylor served as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach under Sanders at Jackson State.

“My recommendation goes to T.C. (Taylor); they know how I feel about T.C.,” Sanders said after the Tigers’ win over Southern in the SWAC title game, while sitting alongside JSU athletic director Ashley Robinson.

“I want T.C. and several of the staff members are going to be retained here. But, that is mine – I would love for someone in-house because I don’t really know how to act if someone outside the house coming in to understand how we function. And how we get down. That is my recommendation, so let’s clap it up for T.C.”

Sanders coached his final game at Jackson State in the Celebration Bowl in December. He was later formally named the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes football program.

A representative for Reed was with him during the appearance and explained that the Baltimore Ravens legend did receive other offers, at which point Reed interrupted and mentioned the Grambling State football program.

Reed came under fire in recent weeks after he posted a video complaining about the conditions of the campus and lack of cleanliness in his office. During an Instagram Live, Reed commented on the amount of trash he saw on the grounds.

“I’m walking out here with the football team picking up trash. I should leave, I’m not even under contract yet!” he was heard saying in the clip.

A handful of Bethune-Cookman football players have started a petition seeking to reinstate Reed as their head coach.

“We firmly believe that the abrupt dismissal of our newly hired head coach Ed Reed is unjust not only to the student-athletes but to the entire BCU family, community and doesn’t align with our founders legacy,” the players said in a statement on the petition.

LAURA INGRAHAM: Not Havin' Gavin

Fox News host Laura Ingraham reacts to California Gov. Gavin Newsom criticizing the 2nd Amendment following mass shootings in his state on “The Ingraham Angle.”

LAURA INGRAHAM: If [Newsom’s] the Democrats’ post-Biden plan B, they’re in trouble. Leaders take charge, and when necessary, they take responsibility. But what does he do? He takes lowbrow potshots. When he wasn’t blaming the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution, he was gaslighting the First. Attacking the free press — well, the one network that consistently holds him accountable, telling an ABC affiliate in California that it’s a disgrace what we say at Fox every night.

He said, “There’s xenophobia, there’s racial priming” — whatever that is — “What they’ve done to perpetuate crime and violence in this country.”

CALIFORNIA GOV. GAVIN NEWSOM SAYS 2ND AMENDMENT IS ‘BECOMING SUICIDE PACT’ FOLLOWING MONTEREY PARK SHOOTING

What? Xenophobia? Racial priming? Newsom immediately tried to tie the attacks to right-wing Trump supporters. And, of course, other top Democrats did the same. Anti-gun zealot Chuck Schumer tweeted about the need to stand up to bigotry and hate, and the odious Adam Schiff claimed AAPI bigotry was a possible motive in the shootings. And with Newsom and the gang’s reflexive call for more gun control, even CBS and MSNBC had to admit that California already has the strictest gun laws in the country.

SEAN HANNITY: Gavin Newsom doesn't know what the word freedom means

Fox News host Sean Hannity slammed a possible Gavin Newsom presidential run and said California is the least free state in the country and has become unlivable for millions of Americans in Tuesday’s opening monologue.

SEAN HANNITY: We all know Joe is a cognitive wreck and it’s now obvious to everyone. Even the Democrats have to acknowledge it, the mob and the media slowly are acknowledging it. In fact, many top Democrats are now measuring the drapes at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the White House, waiting in the wings as Biden circles the drain.

But no one is more obvious about his presidential ambitions than the one and only California Governor Gavin Newsom. For years, Newsom has been auditioning to be president. He even took out ads, you might recall, in Florida touting his great leadership and what he laughably called the true freedom of state of California. All right. The reality is very different. California is by far the least free state in the entire country. Without a doubt, it is one of the most expensive, one of the most difficult places on earth to start a business, build a house, fill up your gas tank, mow your lawn, power your home, feed your family, and protect yourself. It is the only state in America that banned the future sale of gas powered cars. The only state in the country that banned gas powered lawn equipment. The only state in America that banned plastic packaging. The state with the worst COVID restrictions and lockdowns, including vaccine mandates, mask mandates, lengthy school closures, the state with the toughest gun control regulations, and I can keep going. Newsom just called the Second Amendment a suicide pact while apparently surrounded by armed guards, of course.

NEWSOM ACCUSED OF ‘HYPOCRISY’ FOR CALLING SECOND AMENDMENT A ‘SUICIDE PACT’ WHILE SURROUNDED BY ARMED GUARDS

Now, naturally, California is also the highest tax state in the country. And yet this year, Newsom somehow faces a $24 billion budget deficit. This is just one year after Biden’s blue state bailout gifted California with a whopping $100 billion budget surplus. Newsom spent it all, every penny, and then some… in less than a year, by the way. And now he’s looking for cash. In fact, if passed a proposed wealth tax will fine Californians for simply moving out of the state. He wants them to pay a state income tax when they don’t live in the state.

Something that happens with great frequency of late. Now, under Newsom, California is hemorrhaging people. Now, for the first time in its history, the state’s population is shrinking. In fact, California has the highest demand for outbound U-Haul trucks. Texas, Florida, the Carolinas, Tennessee, they’re all seeing an explosion in growth. California is now become unlivable for millions of Americans, but not because of its geography or climate. People are fleeing the state because of high taxes, burdensome regulation, the high cost of living, the scourge of homelessness and violence and drug addiction, draconian COVID policies. All of these problems, all of them caused and perpetuated by Democrats that have ruled the state now for decades. But now Gavin Newsom thinks that he deserves a promotion. He wants to bring all of those special California freedoms to the rest of the country. Now, Gavin Newsom is a con man, he’s a liar, he doesn’t know how to manage a budget. He doesn’t know how to fix his state’s housing crisis. He doesn’t know how to lure business and development into the state. And obviously, he has no idea what the word freedom really means.

On this day in history, Jan. 25, 1961, JFK hosts first live televised presidential press conference

President John F. Kennedy introduced a new era of White House communications when he hosted the first live televised presidential press conference on this day in history, Jan. 25, 1961.

“The fact of the matter is that [at] the time when President Kennedy started televised press conferences, there were only three or four newspapers in the entire United States that carried a full transcript of a presidential press conference,” Kennedy’s press secretary, Pierre Salinger, told the JFK Presidential Library in an oral history of the 35th president.

“Therefore, what people read was a distillation … We thought that they should have the opportunity to see it in full.”

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, JAN. 24, 2003, DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY ESTABLISHED AS CABINET AGENCY

The president had been sworn into office just five days earlier.

The press conference was held at the new State Department auditorium in Washington, D.C. The Cold War hung heavily over the proceedings.

The new president made a series of three announcements, the first related to atomic test ban discussions in Geneva, Switzerland.

At the conference, which was televised live from the State Department's new auditorium, the president said he was asking that the Geneva negotiations with Russia for a nuclear test ban treaty be postponed until late March.

He then addressed relief efforts amid the ongoing civil war in the Congo, which became a proxy war between competing Soviet- and U.S.-backed factions.

Kennedy also announced that U.S. Air Force officers Capt. John R. McKone and Capt. Freeman “Bruce” Olmstead had been released by the Soviet Union after more than six months in captivity.

Four other airmen were killed when their RB-47 bomber was shot down by a Soviet fighter jet over disputed airspace in the Bering Sea on July 1, 1960 — just weeks after the more famous U2 incident of May 1960.

The Cold War hung heavily over the first televised presidential press conference.

The president then opened the floor for questions.

“Do you conceive of circumstances which might warrant the resumption of such things as the U2 flight?” a reporter asked in the first media question posed to a president before a live TV audience.

(SEE the video below.)

“Flights of American aircraft penetrating the airspace of the Soviet Union have been suspended since May 1960,” Kennedy responded.

“I have ordered that they not be resumed,” he also said.

A second reporter asked Kennedy about rumors that Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev might visit the president in Washington in March to discuss nuclear disarmament following United Nations meetings in New York City

“I’ve not heard officially of any proposal by Mr. Khrushchev to come to the United States,” Kennedy said.

The immediacy of the event dramatically changed — or should have changed — the dynamic of the relationship between the seat of federal power and the press.

Independent media, when performing their duties, are meant to represent the American people and serve as a check on the president’s power.

“In the period preceding the Kennedy presidency, the rules governing press conferences favored the president,” writes the White House Historical Association.

“The sessions were off-the-record events from Woodrow Wilson through Harry Truman. If the president said something he believed unwise, he could alter the quote.”

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, SEPT. 26, 1960, KENNEDY AND NIXON BATTLE IN FIRST TELEVISED PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

Woodrow Wilson held the first presidential news conference on March 15, 1913.

President Eisenhower held the first televised press conference on Jan. 19, 1955, using file footage.

“President John F. Kennedy was the first to use the medium of television to address the American people live without delay or editing,” reports the United States Government Publishing Office.

The use of television proved essential to Kennedy’s ascension to the Oval Office.

Most notably, most Americans agreed he projected better on television during a series of debates with vice president Richard Nixon in the fall of 1960.

His made-for-TV image proved critical in an election that JFK won by the slimmest of margins — he captured 49.7% of the popular vote, compared to 49.6% for Nixon.

The Kennedy-Nixon debates “shifted how presidential campaigns were conducted, as the power of television took elections into Americans’ living rooms,” the National Constitution Center points out.

Television also cemented Kennedy’s enduring image as a young, vibrant, energetic American leader, who served less than three years in office before his assassination on Nov. 22, 1963.

“President Kennedy’s press conferences brought with them the glamour of a young leader, an activist policy agenda, and a tension between the president and his press corps,” claims the White House Historical Association.

“Young reporters flocked to Washington to cover the new president,” the same source said.

“Reporters were more willing to challenge the new president than was true in the Eisenhower years … The U2 spy plane incident changed the relationship for many reporters with their government. It was an incident where the U.S. government was caught in a lie.”

Texas Republicans demand Biden reimburse state for border efforts, seek meeting on ending crisis

FIRST ON FOX: The Texas Republican delegation in the House has written to President Biden calling on him to reimburse the Lone Star state for its efforts to secure its southern border – and requesting a meeting to discuss the crisis now in its third year.

“For the last two years, the State of Texas has been forced to take unprecedented steps to address this crisis,” the 25 members of the GOP delegation, led by Reps. August Pfluger, Pat Fallon, Jody Arrington, Chip Roy and Tony Gonzales, say in a letter to Biden.

The crisis that saw more than 1.7 million migrant encounters in FY 2021 and more than 2.3 million in FY 2022 has shown signs of eclipsing those numbers in FY 2023. January saw more than 250,000 migrant encounters alone, the highest month on record.

While the Biden administration has pointed to a hemisphere-wide challenge and pursued a strategy that involves tackling “root causes,” cracking down on smuggling and expanding legal pathways, Republicans have blamed the administration’s rollback of Trump-era border protections for the crisis.

The delegation’s letter says the crisis was brought upon “by your administration’s failed policies.”

In response to the crisis, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott launched Operation Lone Star in 2021, which involved surging resources to the border, busing migrants to “sanctuary” cities and constructing its own version of the border wall after the Biden administration canceled construction of the Trump-era barrier.

Abbott’s office says that has led to more than 23,000 arrests and the busing of more than 16,000 migrants to New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago and Philadelphia. Abbott himself presented a letter to Biden during the latter’s recent trip to El Paso, Texas.

Both Abbott and the House lawmakers have accused the federal government of not doing enough to secure the border, leaving Texas to fend for itself — noting also the national security threats posed at the border, including dozens of people on the terror watch list stopped by Border Patrol.

“Ranchers throughout west Texas routinely find bodies of dead migrants, or have their private property destroyed,” the delegation writes. “Drugs flowing across our border have led to a record-number of American lives being ruined by poisonings from synthetic drugs, such as fentanyl. Small localities along the border are suffering from the federal government’s failures. These towns should not be forced to reallocate their already exhausted resources to secure their communities.”

BIDEN BLAMES GOP FOR SCORING ‘POLITICAL POINTS’ ON IMMIGRATION, AS BORDER NUMBERS HIT NEW HIGH

The lawmakers urge Biden to “work with the Texas Delegation to pay Texas back for the resources expended through Operation Lone Star” and to work with the delegation to stop the migrant flow across the border. They also request a meeting “to discuss the border crisis and the solutions proposed by Members of the Texas Delegation to put an end to this crisis.”

“Texans are united in condemning the Biden Administration’s border crisis along our border that is ravaging our state and putting the safety of every American at risk,” Rep. Pfluger said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Securing the border is a federal responsibility, and the State of Texas deserves to be reimbursed for the resources spent securing the border through Operation Lonestar. The President should also meet with the Texas Republican Congressional delegation to hear the real security threats and heartbreaking stories we hear from our constituents nearly every day.”

TOP HOMELAND REPUBLICAN BLASTS ‘AFTER DARK’ BORDER NUMBERS RELEASE, PROMISES ‘TIDES ARE CHANGING’

The pressure from the Texas delegation is the latest in a broad push in the House to ramp up pressure on the administration over the crisis. Having taken control of the chamber, Republicans have promised to pass laws to end the crisis, and to hold hearings on the matter — including at the border itself.

The White House, meanwhile, has looked to increase pressure on Congress to pass a sweeping immigration reform bill introduced two years ago on Biden’s first day in office. That bill, which includes greater legal pathways for migration as well as a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants, has yet to pick up any Republican support.

“I’ll continue to call on Congress to act to pass comprehensive immigration reform to fix the system,” he said to the U.S. Conference of Mayors on Friday, before putting Republican opposition to the bill down to political expediency.

“So, we have a choice: They can keep using immigration to try to score political points, or we can help solve the problem.  Immigration reform used to be a bipartisan issue.  And we can make it that again, in my view,” he said.

Judicial Watch files lawsuit against DOJ for docs on Big Tech censorship, Hunter Biden laptop story

Judicial Watch has filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Justice Department for records of communications between the FBI and social media sites regarding the Hunter Biden laptop story and foreign influence in elections.

The latest suit by the conservative watchdog group came after they say the FBI failed to respond fully to a previous FOIA request in August for all records between FBI personnel and employees of Meta, Twitter, and other Big Tech companies.

The August request sought communications concerning Biden’s laptop, the news media’s reporting on the laptop, and “the threat of disinformation disseminated by foreign actors related to any U.S. election.”

According to a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia earlier this month, the FBI acknowledged receipt of the original FOIA request in September but since then has provided no further information. The court filing noted the FBI had until Sept. 26 to make a final determination on whether to comply with the request, notify Judicial Watch of the agency’s decision, and produce the requested records or demonstrate that the requested records are exempt.

2022: THE YEAR THE HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP WAS FINALLY VERIFIED BY THE MEDIA

The FBI is “violating FOIA by failing to produce all records responsive to [Judicial Watch’s] request or demonstrate that the requested records are lawfully exempt from production,” the complaint states.

Judicial Watch is requesting that the court order the FBI to produce, by a date certain, all non-exempt records in response to its requests and award the group “attorneys’ fees and other litigation costs reasonably incurred.”

The original FOIA request came months before the so-called “Twitter Files” were released and revealed the FBI coordinated with the Big Tech giant on content moderation, systemically flagging tweets that it deemed problematic and wanted taken down — especially ones related to the 2020 election.

The documents also showed the FBI repeatedly asked Twitter whether it had seen foreign activity leading up to the 2020 election, which the company at the time said it hadn’t. Then the day before the New York Post broke its Hunter Biden story in October 2020, FBI officials sent Twitter ten unknown documents through its secure one-way Teleport channel.

The Post obtained and wrote about emails from a laptop that the president’s son had abandoned at a repair shop in Delaware. The emails discussed his business dealings abroad and mentioned Joe Biden meeting a top executive at Ukrainian energy firm Burisma.

WHAT ELON MUSK’S TWITTER FILES HAVE UNCOVERED ABOUT THE TECH GIANT SO FAR

Shortly after the story was published, Andy Stone, Facebook’s policy communications director, boasted the social media giant was “reducing its distribution on our platform.” He added the story would be scrutinized by third-party fact checkers “to reduce the spread of misinformation.”

Stone previously worked for former Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

Twitter, meanwhile, quickly blocked users from posting or reading the story. The company even locked the Post’s primary Twitter account, citing “the lack of authoritative reporting on the origins of the materials included in the article.”

According to independent writer Michael Shellenberger, who released some of the Twitter Files last month, the FBI and other law enforcement agencies had “repeatedly primed [Twitter] to dismiss reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop as a Russian ‘hack and leak’ operation.”

Shellenberger also published a February 2021 email that revealed the FBI paid Twitter over $3.4 million since October 2019. FBI officials told Fox News at the time that the money was a “reimbursement” for the “reasonable costs and expenses associated with their response to a legal process … For complying with legal requests, and a standard procedure.”

FBI DECLINES TO LIST OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANIES IT PAID, SAYS $3.5 MIL TWITTER PAYMENT WAS ‘REIMBURSEMENT’

However, critics have argued the money stemmed from a partnership geared to suppress tweets and accounts of primarily conservative voices under the guise of countering misinformation and foreign influence operations.

“The FBI was literally paying Twitter to censor Americans just before the 2020 election!” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The FBI seems to have interfered in the 2020 election to help Joe Biden by encouraging Big Tech to censor Americans about the Hunter laptop and other debates. And to add to the scandal, they are now covering up their misconduct.”

The FBI didn’t respond to a request for comment for this story but rejected allegations of collusion in a statement to Fox News earlier this week.

“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding, and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries,” the agency said. “As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers … It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.”

Beyond the FBI’s communications with Big Tech, Judicial Watch has filed other lawsuits targeting alleged government censorship.

Judicial Watch is, for example, suing the Department of Homeland Security for all records of communications between the Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency, which is part of the department, and the Election Integrity Partnership, which was created to flag online election content that it deemed misinformation.

Pete Davidson rids himself of Kim Kardashian tattoos, flaunts new relationship with Chase Sui Wonders

Across Pete Davidson‘s chest are skulls, sea creatures, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and a plethora of other designs. The former “Saturday Night Live” actor has seemingly rid himself of one of his most famous tattoos – a tribute to his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

While vacationing in Hawaii with rumored new girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders, Davidson, 29, was pictured without his “My Girl Is A Lawyer” tattoo he had inked on his body, above his collarbone.

The tattoo, a nod to Kardashian’s studies to become a lawyer, was something Davidson got during their nine-month relationship.

Kardashian previously revealed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” that while her beau had several tattoos in her honor, that one was her favorite.

KIM KARDASHIAN ‘WONT STAND’ FOR KANYE’S INSULTING MEME ABOUT HER SPLIT WITH PETE DAVIDSON

Davidson’s other tattoos for Kardashian included the names ‘Jasmine’ and ‘Aladdin’ – the characters they played in a “Saturday Night Live” sketch where they shared their first kiss. Fans could previously see that ink above his other collarbone.

On his lower neck, Davidson had cemented his love for Kardashian and her family, getting the first letter of her name as well as her four children’s, spelling “KNSCP,” to represent Kim, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Those letters are also no longer visible.

Kardashian previously told DeGeneres that her then-boyfriend had gotten “KIM” branded on his body as well, but this too appeared to be removed.

Davidson and Kardashian amicably split in August after a whirlwind romance.

The two began dating after Kardashian’s separation from ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West.

After their split, Davidson reportedly rebounded with model Emily Ratajkowski

Now, new photos have surfaced of him and 26-year-old Wonders, an actress best known for her roles in “Generation” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies.”

Upon closer examination of Pete Davidson's neckline, the "My Girl Is A Lawyer" tattoo is no longer noticeable.

Davidson and Wonders hit the beach in Hawaii where they cozied up to one another in the water.

The comedian showcased his neon green hair under a black hat, wearing blue and green patterned swim trunks that matched Wonders’ green two-piece.

A representative for Davidson did not immediately return Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Davidson spoke with late-night host Seth Meyers in 2021, prior to his relationship with Kardashian, about his decision to have some of his tattoos removed, citing the arduous nature to cover them up on-set for various projects.

“It takes like 3 hours. You have to get there 3 hours earlier to cover all your tattoos, ’cause for some reason people in movies – they don’t have them that much.”

“So now I’m burning them off. But like, burning them off is like, worse than getting them. Because like, not only are they like, burning off your skin, but you’re like wearing these big goggles, right? So you can’t see anything. And… the doctor’s in there with you. So before he goes to laser each tattoo you have to hear him announce what the tattoo is, to make sure if you want to keep it or not,” he explained.

Ana Walshe disappeared on Jan. 1, leaving investigators to piece together the mystery of what happened to the Cohasset, Massachusetts woman.

On Jan. 17 authorities announced a major development in that effort, revealing that her husband, Brian Walshe, was charged with her murder.

He allegedly beat his wife Ana Walshe, a 39-year-old real estate executive and mother of three to death early morning on New Year’s Day, prosecutors said.

Here is a timeline of how this mystery has played out since Walshe vanished on New Year’s Day.

Ana Walshe’s employer, Tishman Speyer, reports her missing to Cohasset police.

Initially, police said her disappearance wasn’t suspicious, there was no evidence of foul play and her husband was cooperating.

That changed by the end of the week.

Jan. 6 and 7

Cohasset police teamed up with outside agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police, to search a wooded area near the Walshes’ home and several other locations on Friday and Saturday.

A task force reviewed surveillance footage to verify Brian Walshe’s whereabouts, which didn’t check out, according to the affidavit.

Investigators were seen going through the Walshes’ family pool and searched closer to the house on Saturday, but police didn’t provide an official update about what (or if) anything was found.

Before Saturday’s searches began, Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley told “Fox and Friends Weekend,” “Every hour, we’re getting more concerned for her well-being … We have more questions than answers.”

Investigators reportedly found trash bags with blood, a hatchet and a hacksaw in a Peabody trash transfer station, which is about 45 miles north of the Walshes’ home, sources told WBZ-TV.

“Search activity conducted north of Boston yesterday resulted in a number of items being collected, which will now be subject to processing and testing to determine if they are of evidentiary value to this investigation,” the release says.

ANA WALSHE’S HUSBAND, BRIAN WALSHE, THREATENED TO KILL HER IN 2014 BEFORE MARRYING: POLICE REPORT

Jan. 12

A police report filed in Washington, D.C., revealed that in 2014 Brian Walshe allegedly threatened to kill Ana and her friend in a phone call.

The incident happened on Aug. 2, 2014, according to the report. Metropolitan police said the case was closed because Ana refused to cooperate.

Jan. 13

A Cohasset police log in the days after Ana’s disappearance raised questions about when she vanished and when it was reported.

The log said police received a call for a well-being check Jan. 4, 2023, for Ana, and the caller said “he is the head security person for the company party works for, Tishman Speyer.”

The caller noted, “Company has contacted the husband … he has not filed a missing person report.”

Brian Walshe’s attorney, Tracy Miner, previously said in court, though, that her client contacted the company about Ana missing, directly contradicting what the Tishman Speyer representative told police.

On Jan. 13, Quincy District Court also revealed that search warrants were executed a day earlier in the investigation, but they were sealed, with no other information available.

Jan. 17

The Norfolk District Attorney’s Office said on Tuesday that Brian Walshe was being charged with murdering Ana Walshe.

Authorities have not provided any new details on the murder charge or the whereabouts of Ana Walshe, whose remains have yet to be found.

Reports indicate that Ana’s mother, Milanka Ljubicic of Belgrade, Serbia, is submitting a formal request to the U.S. government for information related to her daughter.

Ljubicic, through the country’s foreign ministry, submitted a formal request to Serbia’s Consulate in New York and all relevant parties seeking to be designated Walshe’s next of kin, and to receive documentation pertaining to her daughter’s case, according to the report.
