Cindy Crawford reveals why she's jealous of her 21-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber

Cindy Crawford is revealing exactly what her 21-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber, has that she envies.

“I look at my daughter and notice that her hair is shiny and healthy looking — she has my old hair, and I want it back!” the former supermodel shared in an interview with InStyle magazine.

Crawford shares daughter Kaia and 23-year-old son Presley with husband Rande Gerber.

The 56-year-old supermodel went on to share that she was aware of the effects her skin would face with age, but her hair changing as she got older took her by surprise.

“Everyone tells you your skin will age, but no one tells you your hair will age, too,” she said. “I think we all expect to get gray hair, but I wasn’t aware that the texture was going to change, it was going to become more brittle, it was going to shed more and basically just be lackluster.”

The legendary model has had her iconic ’90s blowout mimicked for several years.

“It’s always fun to see trends and styles come back around but updated at the same time,” Crawford said of her blowout coming back in style. “It reminds me of all the things about ’90s style [that] I loved. There was an unapologetically sexy and fun attitude.”

“To this day, I still like a great blowout with a round brush and then Velcro rollers,” Crawford said. “It gives you some volume and soft, shiny waves — I call it the ‘Madison Avenue blowout.'”

In November, Crawford said that she hired a coach to help her navigate the stressors in her life.

At the time, Cindy laughed with Haute Living magazine when she mentioned she might be “going through a midlife crisis” as she takes on the second half of her 50s.

“I started working with a coach this year, and one of the things that she speaks to me about is time,” Crawford explained to the outlet.

“Like, who am I? I don’t know. Maybe I’m just going through a midlife crisis,” Crawford added with a laugh.

Possible Chinese spy balloon debris spotted in Carolinas, police ask residents to report more

Possible Chinese spy balloon debris has been spotted on the coast of South Carolina, and police are asking area residents to report other possible sightings.

Police in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina instructed residents not to touch the debris and report it to police via non-emergency numbers immediately. The U.S. Navy and Coast Guard are already working to recover the downed balloon, but officials warned some may slip through.

Debris recovered from the area will be sent to Quantico for analysis by the FBI.

“Please be advised we are aware of the destruction of the balloon that was over the ocean near our City. Pieces of this balloon are being collected by the US military however it is possible some of those pieces may wash ashore. Any stray pieces are expected in the NC area but could wash ashore in NMB. If a piece is located please contact your local law enforcement agency for collection,” North Myrtle Beach Police wrote this weekend.

“Debris should not be touched, moved, or removed. Such items are part of a federal investigation and tampering with them could interfere with that investigation,” police added.

Images from Myrtle Beach appeared to show members of the U.S. military transporting a portion of the downed balloon at a local boat ramp.

U.S. officials have yet to confirm that they have recovered any parts of the balloon, however.

The U.S. military had put several vessels from the Navy and Coast Guard on alert prior to shooting down the balloon. Recovery efforts began later Saturday and continued throughout Sunday, with divers facing few obstacles aside from cold water temperatures.

Navy and Coast Guard ships arrived to the site where the balloon hit the water on Saturday before establishing a perimeter around the area. Pentagon officials say the recovery effort is expected to be relatively easy thanks to the shallow depth of just under 50 feet, but it could still take days.

Barbra Streisand asked Robert Redford to do 'take after take' of sex scene in 'The Way We Were,' book claims

Barbra Streisand’s first sex scene with Robert Redford in the sweeping romantic drama “The Way We Were” allegedly took two days to film — to producer Ray Stark’s dismay.

The claim was made by Robert Hofler, who wrote a book about the making of the 1973 film titled “The Way They Were: How Epic Battles and Bruised Egos Brought a Classic Hollywood Love Story to the Screen.”

The book, timed to the 50th anniversary of the film’s release, explores how the instant classic was “a nightmare to make, with a difficult cast, a jumbled plot about mismatched partners, countless delays and rewrites, on-set tensions between everyone involved, difficulties at every step of the production, the skyrocketing demands of Ms. Streisand, a leading man who happily ditched premieres on both coasts and mixed critical reviews.”

Reps for Redford, 86, and Streisand, 80, did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

ROBERT REDFORD DID NOT WANT TO STAR ALONGSIDE BARBRA STREISAND IN ‘THE WAY WE WERE’: BOOK

“Streisand asked for take after take with Redford atop her,” Hofler told Fox News Digital. “There’s no reason a scene like that should take two days. That’s how many takes there were. The movie was already going over budget and over schedule. Ray Stark was particularly upset that it took two days to film. The only thing I can think of in terms of why it took two days to film is because Barbra Streisand wanted to do take after take. Redford does nothing in the scene. He’s lying there asleep and at one point, he moves on top, kisses her on the neck and falls asleep.”

But there may have been a good reason why filming the scene dragged on. In the book, Hofler alleged that Streisand was “infatuated” and “mesmerized” with her co-star, who was playing a “Ken doll,” as Redford himself described.

Despite their on-screen chemistry, Robert Redford was allegedly reluctant to work with Barbra Streisand.

“Various people on the set told me that Streisand had a mad crush on Redford, and in previous interviews, both [director] Sydney Pollack and [writer] Arthur Laurents said the same thing,” Hofler explained. “It was very obvious to everyone that she had a crush on him. One thing that I did in the book is that I talked about all the other actresses who co-starred with him, who also admitted to having crushes on him. Meryl Streep admitted to having a crush on him. She once said, ‘Robert Redford is the best kisser in Hollywood.’ Now, she’d already made several films with some great-looking guys. Natalie Wood also thought he was a gorgeous man.”

“But by the time Redford worked with Streisand, he was a happily married man with four kids,” Hofler shared. “He was never one of those people you heard about, even in the grapevine, having affairs. He kept things extremely professional. And he didn’t even want to meet with Barbra in the first place. When it came to his films, he wanted everything to be spontaneous… It was also very well known in Hollywood that Barbra had affairs with her leading men. Not all of them, though. She loathed Walter Matthau in ‘Hello Dolly.’ They loathed each other.”

“But when it came to that love scene, Barbra asked for take after take,” Hofler insisted. “Robert finally gave a look to [director] Sydney Pollack — one that said, ‘I’ve had enough.'”

For the love scene, Redford wore "two athletic supporters." As for Streisand, she opted for a bikini.

According to the book, Redford wore “two athletic supporters” to “protect himself in more ways than one,” while Streisand “chose to don a bikini.”

“He didn’t use it to protect himself from her,” Hofler clarified. “Nowadays, you would have an intimacy coach… I did a book called ‘Sexplosion,’ which is about movies and novels that broke sexual taboos between 1968 and 1973. One of the movies I covered was ‘Midnight Cowboy.’ In Jon Voight’s bedroom scene, they glued something over his crotch. It was very gooey and supposedly a total mess.”

“But there were all kinds of intimacy things that actors did,” he shared. “When it came to filming those types of scenes, there’s some kind of material that people used to protect themselves from each other, private-wise. I did an interview once with a very young actress. She’d never done a love scene before. There was a very famous actor — I won’t tell you who — but he said to her, ‘Don’t be offended if I’m aroused, and don’t be offended if I’m not aroused.’

“But in the case of Redford and Streisand, the supporters were simply an intimacy thing even though Redford refuted it. But if you look at the scene, he could be wearing armor… And I thought it was kind of clever of Streisand… It was a very closed set. I talked to a couple of people who were there, and they just talked about it going on and on.”

Redford would later joke to a Newsweek reporter that the only thing he wore on set was Aramis, the Estée Lauder fragrance for men. Hofler pointed out that the quip mimicked what Marilyn Monroe said when she was asked about her nude calendar photographs that ended up in Playboy. “I had nothing on but the radio,” the blonde bombshell teased.

During their second love scene, Redford allegedly refused to say the line, “It will be better this time.” It is believed the actor assumed the audience would think he was bad in bed.

“Through an email exchange, I asked him why he refused to say the line and Redford did not answer my question, although he answered several other questions,” said Hofler. “Again, Ray Stark was furious and wanted the scene reshot with the line clearly spoken, ‘It’ll be better this time,’ which the producer thought was ‘chivalrous’ of [the character] Hubbell. But by that time, Pollack had taken Redford’s position on the line, saying it was ‘superfluous.’ Previously, Pollack had found the line important. Laurents also found it important and freaked out in a memo about Redford’s refusal to say it.”

BARBRA STREISAND RECALLS THE ONLY TIME SHE EVER SMOKED WEED

Pollack was said to be too “exhausted” to shoot the film about a week after it began. While the chemistry between Streisand and Redford was undeniable, Redford had concerns about working with his leading lady from the start.

“Streisand had this habit of calling Pollack every night to discuss what had happened that day and what they were going to do the next day,” Hofler explained. “He spoke very highly of Streisand, but he thought, ‘Can you just relax?’… And there was a bit of a tug-of-war between Redford and Streisand. He was reluctant to work with her. He didn’t think she had been tested as a dramatic actress. He also feared that she would be very controlling and end up directing the movie. He just didn’t want the film to be turned into a Barbra Streisand musical.”

Redford allegedly didn't want Streisand's character in "The Way We Were" to point out any of his gray hairs. He even slashed out the line from the script.

“I knew an actor from ‘Funny Girl’ who played the delivery boy who gives Streisand a bouquet at the train station before she sings ‘Don’t Rain on My Parade,'” Hofler shared. “He said it took three days to film his coming in and giving her a bouquet of roses… He said he’d never seen anyone so arrogant on set as Barbra Streisand.”

The other objection Redford had involved another memorable scene.

KING CHARLES HAD A CRUSH ON ‘PINUP’ BARBRA STREISAND, ‘DYNASTY’ STAR JOAN COLLINS, ROYAL AUTHOR CLAIMS

“At the very end of the film in front of the Plaza Hotel, when Streisand pushed back the bangs on Redford’s forehead for the fourth and last time, Redford was supposed to say ‘gray,'” said Hofler. “But the word was clearly crossed out.”

"The Way We Were" was a box office success and is still revered by film buffs today.

“One could surmise that if Redford was never bad in bed that he was also never going to go ‘gray,’” he added.

“The Way We Were” went on to become one of the most popular movies of the year. Made for about $5 million, it brought in 10 times that at the box office. It ranked No. 6 in the American Film Institute’s list of top romantic movies. The title song, powered by Streisand, was Billboard’s top single of 1974

Manhunt underway for man who critically wounded an off-duty NYPD officer who was trying to buy a car

A manhunt was underway Sunday for a gunman who critically wounded an off-duty New York Police Department officer who arranged on social media to meet at a Brooklyn street address to buy a car, authorities said.

When the officer arrived with a relative in the borough’s East New York neighborhood, the gunman announced a robbery and displayed a gun, leading to an exchange of gunfire that wounded the officer, according to Michael Baldassano, assistant chief of the NYPD Detectives Bureau.

Baldassano told a news conference late Saturday that the gunman fled the scene and the officer was taken to Brookdale Hospital. He asked anyone with information to contact police.

Baldassano, responding to a question, said there was no reason to believe that the gunman knew that the officer worked for the police department, but it was a question that remained under investigation.

NFL legend Lawrence Taylor lists top 5 defensive players of all time, leaves off one notable current star

Lawrence Taylor is known in the NFL as being one of the best defensive players of all time.

The New York Giants legend was their No. 2 overall pick in 1981 and made a lasting impact on the franchise and the entire league. He was the Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Rookie of the Year in his first season in the NFL and went on to win two Super Bowls and be named to 10 Pro Bowl rosters and eight All-Pro First Teams. The Hall of Famer was inducted into Canton in 1999.

But who does he think are the best defensive players of all time?

Taylor named his list in an appearance on the “I AM ATHLETE” podcast. Brandon Marshall and the rest of the guests already put Taylor at No. 1.

The former pass-rusher put Reggie White, Deacon Jones, Deion Sanders and Ronnie Lott on his list.

One notable person Taylor didn’t put on the list was Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

“I’ll put him on the list if y’all want me to,” Taylor said.

Marshall and Taylor would debate Donald’s bona fides but Taylor said the former wide receiver only considers Donald a topfive defensive player of all time because they played in the same era.

Donald’s numbers are staggering. He’s a nine-time Pro Bowler, a seven-time All-Pro selection and bolstered his resume with a Super Bowl championship last season.

Liberals falsely attack DeSantis using Associated Press fact-check that vindicates him: 'Authoritarianism'

Left-wing social media users used an Associated Press fact-check that defended Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., in an attempt to smear his administration.

Associated Press reporter Philip Marcelo published a fact-check on Saturday about the claim that the Republican governor is requiring “all female student-athletes in the state” to provide “detailed information” regarding their menstrual cycles in order to compete in school sports. Although the article was titled “Florida weighs mandating menstrual cycle details for female athletes” and featured an image of DeSantis, Marcelo ruled the claim as “false.”

“The Florida High School Athletic Association is weighing the recommendation from an advisory committee, but no final decision has been made. DeSantis’ education commissioner is a member of the association’s board of directors and the commissioner also appoints three others, but the association is a private nonprofit organization, not a state agency under the purview of the governor’s office,” Marcelo wrote.

However, this didn’t stop various left-wing commentators from attacking DeSantis by insisting that his administration was mandating the regulation on menstrual cycles.

DESANTIS SCHOOL POLICIES HAVE TAKEN US BACK TO SLAVE ERA, ‘1865 ALL OVER AGAIN’: MSNBC GUEST

“This is authoritarianism. Full stop,” former Ohio state Sen. and progressive activist Nina Turner tweeted.

American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten wrote, “This is dystopian. And creepy. And government intrusion. Forcing girls to detail their menstruation to their schools, to the state, should scare everyone.”

“We weren’t hysterical when Trump was elected. We knew,” former Missouri representative candidate Jessica Piper wrote.

TechRepublic writer Jack Wallen tweeted, “What the actual hell? This is not only an invasion of privacy, but it’s unethical.”

“Huh?” former U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams asked, adding, “Government should stay out of personal and familial health decisions… but under penalty of law, you must have your daughter track and report her periods? What am I missing? Seriously?”

Staffers from DeSantis’ office responded to the false attacks. Rapid response director Christina Pushaw and deputy press secretary Jeremy Redfern responded to Adams, who currently works as Purdue University’s health equity director, pointing out that Florida is not the only state to consider the requirement.

“Purdue’s ‘Health Equity director’ is apparently unaware of the questions on Purdue Athletics’ forms,” Pushaw wrote, displaying a questionnaire requesting females offer the date of their last menstrual cycle.

“WHY WOULD FLORIDA DO THIS?!?!? Just kidding. This is Hawaii’s form,” Redfern tweeted, showing forms from the Hawaii Department of Education.

Adams doubled down on the tweet, criticizing Redfern and others in a thread for allegedly “missing the point.”

“A few people (maybe intentionally?) missed the point of this thread.  I wasn’t arguing against the policy. I find it confusing that some are against asking vaccine status but okay asking about periods- and cite importance of AAP + AAFP (who recommend kid covid vax) compliance,” Adams tweeted.

His last tweet read, “And finally, I never mentioned a certain Governor. In fact I specifically linked to an article saying (so far) he hasn’t weighed in on the new policy. But I do hope FL will consistently follow the advice of major medical organizations moving forward, and not just in this case…”

Some conservative users pushed back against Adams and other accounts for appearing to not read past the headline in order to attack DeSantis.

“2.8 million people viewed this tweet from Nina Turner believing it was true. One problem: This is an AP fact-check that states the claim is completely false. Bad job Turner. Bad job AP for a completely misleading headline in a world where most people don’t read past the headline,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha tweeted.

Journalist Ian Miles Cheong wrote, “You have once again beclowned yourself.”

“Read the article clown,” Florida’s Voice Editor-in-Chief Brandon Leslie urged.

Political commentator “AGHamilton29” wrote, “The reason Nina used a screenshot instead of linking to the article is that it’s an AP fact-check that labels the viral claim as false. She was either too lazy to read past the headline or intentionally dishonest.”

Mediaite commentator Isaac Schorr tweeted, “The thing about being a conservative is that you are immediately able to discern, at a glance, that the headline and image were explicitly chosen to deceive readers.”

Additional context was later added to Turner’s tweet reading “The Florida High School Athletic Association is weighing updates to its Participation Physical Evaluation form to help address amenorrhea and oligomenorrhea amount female athletes. Dodgers announce Fernando Valenzuela's No 34 to be retired this season

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Saturday that legendary pitcher Fernando Valenzuela will have his No. 34 retired this season.

Valenzuela, who was nicknamed “El Toro” as he took the Dodgers by storm at 20 years old in 1981 on his way to his only Cy Young Award of his career, was present at Dodger Stadium on Saturday during Dodgers Fan Fest, where the announcement was made.

“To be part of the group that includes so many legends is a great honor,” Valenzuela told Dodgers Insider. “But also for the fans — the support they’ve given me as a player and working for the Dodgers, this is also for them. I’m happy. I’m happy for all the fans and all the people who have followed my career. They’re going to be very happy to know that my No. 34 is retired.”

Valenzuela will have his jersey retired on Aug. 11 during the Dodgers’ season. However, “Fernandomania” deserves more than just one night.

Los Angeles will make it an entire weekend, with a collector’s edition bobblehead given out to fans on Aug. 12 and a replica 1981 World Series ring given out on Aug. 13.

DODGERS LEADERSHIP ADDRESSES TREVOR BAUER’S RELEASE, SAYING DECISION WAS ‘UNANIMOUS’

“What he accomplished during his playing career, not only on the field but in the community, is extraordinary,” Dodgers team president Stan Kasten said. “He truly lit up the imaginations of baseball fans everywhere. It’s hard to envision a player having a greater impact on a fan base than the one Fernando has had.”

Valenzuela played a key part in bringing the Dodgers their fifth franchise title in 1981, defeating the New York Yankees in six games. He was named Rookie of the Year and received the Cy Young Award that season, pitching to a 2.48 ERA in 25 starts (192.1 innings).

In his 11 years with the Dodgers, Valenzuela owned a 3.31 ERA in 331 games, striking out 1,759 batters over 2,348.2 innings.

Valenzuela would move on to the then-California Angels in 1991, but he did not do well in two starts. He would play in Mexico in 1992 before returning to MLB the next year with the Baltimore Orioles.

The crafty left-hander would play for the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals before retiring after the 1997 season.

Green groups targeting blue-collar lobstermen are largely funded by dark money

Environmental groups that have led litigation targeting the lobster fishing industry have been heavily funded by various liberal dark money groups that don’t disclose their individual donors, a Fox News Digital review of tax filings found.

The organizations — the Center For Biological Diversity, Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) and Defenders Of Wildlife — first filed a joint federal lawsuit against the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) in 2018, arguing a rule issued by the agency years earlier failed to properly protect the endangered North Atlantic right whales from lobster fishing equipment. In April 2020, a federal judge ruled in favor of the groups, ordering the NMFS to issue tighter restrictions.

“Right whales have been getting tangled up and killed in lobster gear for far too long,” Kristen Monsell, the oceans program litigation director at the Center for Biological Diversity, said at the time. “This decision sends a clear signal that federal officials must protect these desperately endangered animals from more painful and deadly entanglements before it’s too late.”

As a result of the decision, the Biden administration moved forward with new regulations on lobster fishing equipment in May 2021. The coalition of environmental groups then filed another lawsuit challenging the new rule and, in July 2022, again received a favorable judgment from a federal court. CLF senior attorney Arica Fuller applauded the ruling, saying it made clear that “fishery managers must do more to protect” right whales.

However, as a result of the litigation and tighter rules, Maine lawmakers and business leaders have argued that thousands of lobster fishing jobs are at risk. The updated NMFS restrictions stated that fixed gear fisheries like the Maine lobster fishery must reduce their risk to whales by a staggering 98%. The first restrictions were rolled out in May and more restrictions are planned for December 2024 and 2030.

“Friendship, Maine, is the name of the town that I grew up in and that I live in now and where all the previous generations in my family fished and operated from,” Dustin Delano, a fourth-generation lobsterman, told FOX Business in December. “Basically, the lobster industry is the backbone — that’s what everything was built around and that’s pretty much the only option we have here. Without it, I don’t think there would be much left.”

Overall, Maine’s lobster industry — which by state law is made up entirely of small business operators — provides the U.S. with about 90% of the nation’s lobster supply, making the industry a top economic driver in the state, and boosting other related industries as well. In 2021, Maine’s lobster fishery generated $724.9 million of revenue, the largest amount in state history.

The three groups that have led litigation pushing for greater restrictions on the industry have a long history accepting funding from left-wing groups with unknown wealthy donors, according to a Fox News Digital review of tax filings.

For example, the Center For Biological Diversity has received millions of dollars from left-wing dark money groups including the Rockefeller Family Fund, the Patagonia Fund and Pew Charitable Trusts. The center has been the recipient of grants worth nearly $8 million from the Sandler Foundation, $1 million from the Wilburforce Foundation, $850,000 from Environment Now and another $815,000 from the Frankel Family Foundation, according to Influence Watch.

One of the Center for Biological Diversity’s earliest benefactors was the Wyss Foundation, an organization founded by liberal Swiss billionaire donor Hansjorg Wyss. The foundation has wired hundreds of thousands of dollars to the group and Wyss has pledged $10 million to it, The New York Times reported.

Over the last decade alone, the group’s annual revenue, which is mainy comprised of grants and contributions, has surged more than 300% to $27.3 million.

The CLF, meanwhile, has been awarded grants from the Rockefeller Family Fund, the Walton Family Foundation and dozens of other foundations. The Boston-based group has also accepted money from businesses and other organizations including Facebook, the Schwab Charitable Fund and the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Foundation.

In 2017, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation gave the CLF $4.3 million.

And the Defenders Of Wildlife has received funding from the Wyss Foundation and George Soros’ Open Society Foundation. In 2018, the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation gave the group a $4 Million grant.

In addition, Defenders of Wildlife received $1.3 million from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation which earmarked the grants for projects protected endangered species and pushing a moratorium on offshore fossil fuel drilling.

The Center for Biological Diversity, CLF and Defenders of Wildlife didn’t respond to requests for comment.
